Ruth Stallings Neish 1920 ~ 2008 Ruth Stallings Neish passed away peacefully Sunday June 15, 2008, in Bountiful surrounded by her family. Ruth was born in Salt Lake City on May 21, 1920 to Arthur and Mary Ellen Stallings. She married Merlin Jay (Sonny) Neish in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 3, 1941. Together they had four children that they raised in Bountiful, Utah. Mom was devoted to her children and grandchildren, teaching us by example, and giving us an appreciation for the beauty in the world around us. She was a compassionate and generous person with a kindheartedness toward animals. Ruth is survived by her children, Susan (Ray) Underwood, Linda (Robert) Florence, Richard (Susan), and Gregory (Patti); and grandchildren, Todd (Gina), Amy (Ruben), Roger, Tiffanie (David), Kim (Jeff), Jed (Amy), Amber (Ryon), Valerie, Angie (Brad), Andy, Jeremy (Kelly), Branden (Denise), Natalie (Bob), April (Matt); and great-grandchildren, Jay, Ty, Ian, Christopher, Nicholas, Mitchell, Maci, Trey, Victor, Alec, Max, Lily, Jake, Ashlyn, Landon, Layne and various grand cats and dogs. Preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Norma Dunn and Helen Christenson. A private graveside service will be held in Salt Lake City.
