Judi got Maui'd

WE'RE BACK!!! We had a lot of fun in Maui. It started off with Judi's wedding. She looked so beautiful, and the ceremony couldn't have been more perfect. The ocean was the backdrop for the ceremony...talk about a wedding in paradise! The rest of the trip we did Hawaii type things - went to the beach a lot, went snorkeling, boating, fishing, hiking (well, sort of), went up into the mountains to see where Lionel grew up, visited the winery, went to a luau...all sorts of fun stuff. And of course, Bob's favorite thing of all was the shaved ice - with ice cream at the bottom. He wishes he could eat that everyday. Whew - that took a long time to load all of those pictures! We had a fabulous time and we wish we didn't have to come home - it was too soon! We certainly intend on heading back to Hawaii in the near future.

Backtracking a bit...

I finally loaded the pics from my camera to my computer, so I have pictures of our adventure to Discovery Gateway from awhile back. My sis already posted about it, and it inspired me to do the same. We had a big ol' crew join in on the fun: me, Bob, Jake, Laura, Matt, Tyce, and my mom and dad. What fun!!!

One more day!

I'm so excited - only one more day to go before Hawaii. We're headed to Maui tomorrow for Bob's sister's wedding and for a belated 30th birthday present to me. Woo hoo, I can't wait! I'm not really looking forward to such a long plane ride with Jake; I sure hope he's a good boy. We're prepared with lots of toys and distractions. Heck, we even went out and bought him his own portable DVD player, and we had to get him his favorite DVD - The Doodlebops. He loves that show sooo much. Anywho, it's been a long road to get here; last week we had a little bit of a scare, Bob hadn't been feeling very well for about a week and a half, but his stomach was killing him on Monday so he headed to the doctor. Low and behold, he had appendicitis. He had to have surgery early Tuesday morning, and is on his way to recovery. I sure hope he can still learn to surf! And now, poor little Jakey is sick. He's been sleeping non-stop today (he woke up at 11:30 to eat a little, and drink some juice) and now he is back asleep. I can't believe he slept so late - I swear the latest he's ever slept in before today was 8:30. I sure hope the little guy feels better soon!
