Ok, so here it is. I'm turning 30 in less than a month and I made it a goal to get back into shape. I'm sad to say that after my little one arrived, I never really got my pre-baby body back. Actually, initially after having my son, I dropped nearly all the weight I gained. I was maybe 2 or 3 pounds heavier than pre-pregnancy after just a few weeks. But then, my weight has just slowly but surely risen. A few weeks ago I was about 15 pounds heavier than before I got pregnant. This was a depressing realization, so I decided to finally do something about it. I have started eating better, restricting my caloric intake to 1200 to 1400 calories per day (I never really regulated how many calories I ate before, but I know it was well over 2000), and I'm exercising at least 30 minutes every day. Because I decided to do it the "right" way (no crazy diets, just eating better) by watching what I'm eating and exercising regularly, I have become extremely discouraged because I am seeing hardly any results. I have been trying to lose weight for nearly 3 weeks, and I've only lost 3 pounds. I know I've heard that it is healthiest to lose about a pound a week, but I honestly thought I'd lose more during the first few weeks. We're heading to Vegas in a month to celebrate my turning the big 3-0, and I wanted to look fabulous by then, but that is seeming highly unlikely :( What am I doing wrong???
